The classic first sapphire Explorer…

The Rolex Explorer has been a constant force in the Rolex sports watch line-up since the 1950s. In the early 1990s Rolex introduced the sapphire glass 14270 Explorer with applied 3-6-9 numerals, where before they had always been painted. This example has Super-LumiNova lume in the hour markers and the hands and has a glossy dial in pretty much perfect condition.

The 36mm case remains in really outstanding condition with thick and even lugs. This Explorer is fitted with a solid link reference 78790 Oyster bracelet with a clasp stamped z6 . The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
