Seiko Prospex 'Save The Ocean' Astrolabe SLA065J1 Limited Edition is a phenomenal, high-end diving watch, that is inspired by Seiko's iconic 62MAS. You can see the 50 years of history of making diving watches, but also Seiko's endless pursuit of creating meaningful watches. This starts with the dial. This is made to resemble an 'astrolabe', which is an astronomical tool, that was used to determine latitude while at sea. So it's not just your average globe, but rather a nod towards one of the most important tools that was literally used for centuries. 

Under the hood is the Seiko Cal. 8L35, based on the Grand Seiko 9S55. A beautiful, 28,800bph movement with 50 hours of power reserve and specifications of 15/-10 seconds per day. A truly amazing, in-house movement that does justice to a watch in this class.

The case has a brushed finished (protected by a Super Hard Coating to help reduce scratches), aside from the bezel, that has a Zaratsu-polished finish. Anyone who is interested in perfection in watches, knows that it's unrivaled in quality.
