PATTERN/ PAIRING:
Comprises a deep orange nylon exterior with black hook/ loop lining and contrasting white mission patch icon and historical tribute markings. Launched in 1973, Skylab was the first US space station and operated for 24 weeks. Like the early Redstone rocket steps into manned space flight, it utilised pre-existing and adapted Saturn V rocket sections from the Apollo era to achieve a stable orbital laboratory and represented a conceptual "springboard" to explore beyond. Based on retro 70s photos of the orange toned crew suits worn for Intra Vehicular Activity, while adjusted to overlap with the subsequent brighter "pumpkin" shuttle suits. A similar tone can also be seen on the SK-1 Gagarin suit of 1961.
LAYOUT: A full-length webbing lining equips the IVA watch strap with uniform structure and support, while a high grip rubber locking keeper ensures a highly secure mounting (spare also included). Retaining the security of a one-piece layout to protect against watch case spring-bar failure, the IVA watch strap itself is spring-bar free and utilizes a robust bead-blasted hoop buckle making it a highly secure mission tool. Shorter than the traditional externally mounted EVA strap, the HAV-IVA is engineered for enhanced functionality, comfort and aesthetics, while crossing over with, and making a very capable dive strap.

CONSTRUCTION / INSTALLATION
With its double-layer construction and hook/ loop nature, the HAV-IVA line has a higher side profile than Haveston other straps.
For watches with a limited spring bar to case clearance, install bars over the watch strap, or consider curved bars. Do not force strap through, as this may deteriorate strap, bars and case.
